About

Hi.  Thanks for taking the time to drop in.  My name is Anne-Marie but I prefer Anne.  Welcome to my life, welcome to my personal.  I would like this to be a place of encouragement and fellowship so please, please feel free to share your thoughts with me as well.

I’m a new blogger but a lifelong writer, mostly journaling.  I am also newly unemployed, which, along with the encouragement of a dear friend, is what started this whole thing.  Much of what you’ll find here started in my journal.

Lets face it, life happens; it’s hard and the journey is different for all of us.  Comfort and sometimes coping, are found in a variety of ways.  For me, it’s been in writing.

The title of my blog site, ‘Written with a Pen Named Hope’, is just that literally.  The pen with which I journal is the pen from which these musings were birthed; a pen from the pew to my purse and from my purse to my journal.  The word ‘hope‘ in lower-case and bold print graces the side of a grey plastic barrel and is half of my church’s name.

It is symbolic as well.  Having experienced a lot of emotional abuse, God’s presence flows freely in the ink, expressing His love in the words He gives.  He is truly working all things to my good and for His glory.

It is with this in mind that I share my story, my life; fragments of a vessel broken in places, chipped in others; oh so imperfect yet oh so perfectly loved, I am a child, ever needy of her daddy’s love but often too proud to ask.

This is what I’m learning:

There is always and forever hope because there is always and forever God; as long as there is breath in my lungs, as long as there is beating in my heart, there is always and forever hope, for me and for you.

I’m also learning to ask and learning to receive.

It is my prayer I can help you do the same.

  1. Anne, if you but ask him and rely on him he will not only bring you through it, he will make things better than they ever were before. You are a child of the most high God and you have nothing to fear. You are in my prayers and I love you.Carol
